In April of 2009 Tim announced his desire to represent the 12th District in Congress. Since then, he has been out meeting the public in as many venues as possible.

At the Johnstown Tea Party, Burns announced that he was not running because he hated Democrats, he was not running because he hated Republicans, he is running because he loves our country.

In Indiana, PA he told the crowd, "I stand before you not as a politician, because I have never been in politics before. I stand before you as concerned citizen, just like you."

Tim's message is simple; together we can change America. The fundamental problems that affect all Americans do not discriminate. Our country will be better off because we all are involved. You can become involved in this movement as well, click here to help.

Tim tells the crowd, "The first Tea Party was about taxation without representation. Well, if spending away your childrens' wealth - wealth that has yet to be created, isn't taxation without representation, then I don't know what is."

Getting input from citizens is key to making the correct decisions. Tim has been working diligently to hear the concerns and issues that are important to the people in the district.
